Privacy Policy
At Glide, we prioritize your privacy and the protection of your data. We are committed to safeguarding all data collected, both personal and non-personal, adhering to the highest global standards of data protection. Our policies are designed to keep your personal data under your control while maintaining compliance with relevant frameworks, including GDPR.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Glide website and application service, governing the use of services provided by Glide to its users.
1. Notice
Whenever we collect information that could be used to personally identify you, we will explicitly ask for your provision and permission. This policy ensures that you are fully informed and consenting to the collection of your personal data.
2. Your Consent
You always have the option to grant or withhold permission for us to process your information.
3. Usage & Processing
3.1 Transient Payloads (Processed in the Moment)
Glide operates with a modern cloud-based architecture to deliver high-agency capabilities. When you invoke commands or trigger workflows, payloads containing screenshots, active application contexts, and voice or text prompts are transiently transmitted through our secure backend to our AI providers. We do NOT store or persist your prompts, chat history, or screen contexts anywhere on our servers. Payloads are processed on-the-fly to return your response and are immediately discarded.
3.2 Authentication & Billing Data
We collect and retain limited data necessary for accounts and subscription management:
- Google OAuth: We authenticate users via Google Sign-In. We store basic metadata associated with your Google account (email address and name) to verify access.
- Paddle: Paddle acts as our merchant of record and handles all payments. Your card details go straight to Paddle and are never seen or stored by us. We keep only a subscription identifier so we know which plan your account is on.
3.3 Third-Party AI Providers
Glide relies on third-party AI partners (including Anthropic, OpenAI, and ElevenLabs) to power assistant features, voice outputs, and system actions. Payload contexts are securely proxied to these partners for immediate response generation. We do not sell your data under any circumstances.
3.4 Crash & Error Reporting
When Glide crashes or hits an unexpected error, a diagnostic report is sent to Sentry, our error-tracking processor, so we can find and fix the fault. A report carries the technical detail of the failure only: the error itself, where in the code it happened, and the Glide version, build and operating system it happened on.
Reports are configured to exclude personal identifiers: no name, email address, account identifier or IP address is attached. They also never carry what Glide was looking at or listening to — no screen contents, no prompts, no voice transcripts, no file or document names, and no addresses of pages you had open. Server-side reports likewise exclude request contents, headers and credentials.
3.5 Product Analytics
So we can see which parts of Glide people actually use, the app records a small set of product events through Amplitude, our analytics processor. An event says that something happened and how it turned out: a dictation finished, an agent completed or failed, a settings tab was opened, the pricing popup was shown. This is on by default and there is currently no setting to switch it off.
What matters is what these events cannot contain. Every event is checked on our server against a fixed allowlist before it is forwarded, and anything not matching exactly is discarded. No value in that list is free text: each one is either a choice from a fixed set or a short machine identifier, and quantities arrive already grouped into ranges instead of exact numbers. Analytics therefore cannot carry your content, by construction rather than by policy: no prompts, no voice transcripts, no screen contents, no file or document names, and no addresses of pages you had open. Where Glide applies a skill suited to the app in front of you, the event records only that one was applied, never which app it was.
Events are attached to a random device identifier rather than to your name or email address, alongside your plan, chosen language, Glide build and operating system version.
3.6 Data Security
All transient payloads and retained credential metadata are encrypted during transit (using Transport Layer Security / TLS).
4. Retention of Information
We retain account and billing identifiers for as long as necessary to provide you with Glide's services. All personally identifiable information will be deleted upon account deletion.
5. Your Rights
In accordance with GDPR regulations, you are entitled to access, rectify, or erase your personally identifiable information at any time by contacting hello@justglide.app.
These are the rules for using Glide. We have written them the way we would explain them out loud, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
1. Who we are
Glide is a Mac app with a voice-first assistant that can see what is on your screen, answer questions about it, and run small pieces of work for you. It is built and run as an independent business based in Sweden. When we say "we" or "us" we mean Glide. When we say "you" we mean the person using the app.
By downloading, signing in to, or using Glide, you are agreeing to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Glide.
2. Your account
You sign in with Google. An account belongs to one person, not a team or a shared login, and you are responsible for what happens on it. Keep your Google account secure and tell us at hello@justglide.app if you think someone else has access to yours.
You need to be at least 16 years old to use Glide.
3. Using Glide fairly
Use Glide for your own work and your own life. Please do not:
- Break the law with it, or use it to harass, deceive, or harm anyone.
- Point it at material you have no right to access.
- Resell it, rent it out, or run it as a service for other people.
- Take it apart, copy it, or try to extract the models and prompts behind it.
- Hammer our servers with automated traffic or work around the limits on your plan.
4. Glide acts on your Mac, and you stay in charge
This is the part worth reading twice. Glide can create files, add calendar events, draft messages, and work inside apps you have connected. It does that because you asked it to, and you are responsible for the instructions you give it.
Anything that leaves your machine, such as sending, posting, sharing, inviting, or deleting, is shown to you for approval first. Read what it is about to do before you approve it. Work that stays private to you, like writing a note or drafting something you have not sent, happens without asking.
We are not responsible for the consequences of actions you approved, so treat approval the way you would treat pressing send yourself.
5. Apps you connect
You can connect Glide to services like Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and others. Those accounts remain yours and remain governed by those companies' own terms. We only ask for the access a task needs, and you can disconnect any app at any time from Settings. If a connected service changes or goes away, the Glide features that depend on it may stop working.
6. Glide can be wrong
Glide is built on AI models, and AI models make mistakes. They misread screens, they miss context, and they can state something incorrect with complete confidence. Check anything that matters before you act on it. Glide is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or tax advice, and you should not treat it as one.
7. Plans and billing
Glide has a free plan and paid plans. Paid plans renew automatically, monthly or yearly depending on what you picked, until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars and any sales tax or VAT is calculated at checkout.
Paddle is our merchant of record, so Paddle takes the payment, handles the tax, and appears on your statement. You can cancel any time from your account, and cancelling stops the next charge while leaving you access until the end of the period you already paid for.
If a price changes we will tell you before it affects you. For refunds, see our Refund Policy.
8. Fair use of paid plans
Paid plans include generous monthly allowances rather than genuinely infinite usage, because every request costs us real money to run. The current allowances are shown in the app. If your usage looks automated or far outside normal personal use, we will contact you first rather than quietly cutting you off.
9. Your content stays yours
Everything you create with Glide belongs to you. We claim no ownership over your files, notes, messages, or anything else Glide helps you produce. We only process your content to the extent needed to run the service, and how we handle it is set out in the Privacy Policy.
10. Our work stays ours
The Glide app, the name, the paper plane, the design, and everything behind them belong to us. Using Glide gives you a personal licence to use it, not ownership of any part of it.
11. Changes to Glide and to these terms
Glide is actively being built, so features will be added, changed, and occasionally removed. If we make a change to these terms that genuinely affects you, we will let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Glide after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Availability
We work hard to keep Glide running, but we cannot promise it will never go down. Providers have outages, macOS ships breaking changes, and bugs happen. Glide is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you.
13. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
14. Ending things
You can stop using Glide and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, and disputes will be handled by the courts there. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.
16. Talk to us
Questions about any of this go to hello@justglide.app. A person reads that inbox.
The short version: if Glide is not working out for you, email us within 14 days of paying and we will refund you in full. No forms, no exit survey, no talking you out of it.
1. The 14 day window
Every paid plan, monthly or yearly, comes with a 14 day full refund. It covers your first payment on a plan, and you do not need a reason. Not clicking for you, not what you expected, bought it by accident on a Friday night: all fine.
If you live somewhere that gives you a longer cancellation right by law, that right applies instead. See section 8.
2. Try the free plan first
You do not have to pay to find out whether Glide suits you. The free plan needs no card and lets you use the assistant properly. We would rather you spend a week on free than a refund request on day three.
3. How to ask
Email hello@justglide.app from the address on your account and say you would like a refund. That is the whole process.
- We reply within 2 business days.
- Once approved, the money goes back to your original payment method.
- Your bank usually takes 5 to 10 business days to show it, which is their timing rather than ours.
4. Cancelling and refunding are different things
Cancelling stops the next charge. You keep everything you paid for until the end of the current period, then drop to the free plan. You can cancel any time from your account, and we do not hide the button.
Refunding gives you your money back. Outside the 14 day window we do not usually refund time that has already run, but read the next section, because renewals are the honest exception.
5. Renewals that catch you by surprise
Nobody should pay for another year of something they forgot they had. We email you before a yearly plan renews. If a renewal still takes you by surprise and you have barely used Glide since it charged you, tell us within 14 days and we will refund it. We would rather give the money back than keep a customer who does not want to be one.
6. Who actually takes the payment
Paddle is our merchant of record. That means Paddle processes the payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and is the name that shows up on your bank statement rather than Glide. Refunds are issued through Paddle once we approve them, which is why the money lands back on the card you paid with.
7. When we might say no
We rarely refuse, but we will if someone is clearly working the system. That means repeatedly subscribing and refunding, fraudulent or disputed payments, or accounts closed for breaking our Terms of Service. If we decline, we will tell you why in plain words.
8. Your legal rights come first
Nothing in this policy takes away rights you have under consumer law where you live, including any statutory cooling off period. Where the law gives you more than this policy does, the law wins.
9. Still unsure
Ask before you buy. Email hello@justglide.app and we will tell you honestly whether Glide does the thing you are hoping it does.
